Dynamic Listing and Form Building

The myJobs platform has been written in a way that allows for easy creation of forms and lists through the system administration.

With myJobs a database administrator can log into a PHP mySQL database and create all tables needed for the system.

After the creation of all tables, the myJobs platform can be used to create pages which can be assigned a format such as a form or a listing.

Once a page is created, the additional settings for that page in myJobs can be set based on the page type that has been selected.

If for example you need to manage a listing of tasks in the system, you would create two system pages.

  1. A Listing Page of the tasks in the system - This would include a search option and the ability to filter the search. This list would link to a form that is used to manage the tasks. The settings for this page are managed by the 'List Settings'.
  2. A Form used to manage the task - This would be a form that has a field for each of the columns that were created in the database. The fields on this form are managed by the 'Form Fields' in the 'Settings'.

After the listing page and form are created a link to the menu can be added to the new section and you will now be able to view, edit and manage tasks in the system without any coding or scripting, just database management and setup.

The interface has been designed with maximum flexibility in mind as listings can be combined to look up multiple tables and forms can be created that use data from other tables in the system. By allowing users to create one table for settings or options for use later in a different area of the website, the administrator can take full control over drop list options, field validation and have full control over what data can and cannot be used in different forms.

The Pelco Consulting myJobs platform also supports the ability assign forms or listings as children pages of another page. By providing this option system administrators can show linked data from across multiple tables in a single page and can edit any of these individual forms.

One such example of a child form is on the client page whereby the client or company manager is the parent form and the child of this form is a listing of contacts that are setup for that company.

This list of contacts can be linked through to a form to manage the contact/s for that company. Another system page can be created that lists the company contacts so you can either view all contacts and search all contacts from the listing or go to the company you want and view a filtered list of contacts for that company.
