Read Only and Field Validation

The myJobs platform from Pelco Consulting has been designed to allow for simplistic form building and data control for online systems.

From time to time, a system administrator may want to give a particular user group access to information but only read access. The myJobs platform supports this as form fields and page data can be set to read only and then that page can be assigned to just one specific user group.

You can also combine read only fields with active fields on a form to allow people to view some data that is locked and while still being a form in which the user can edit data and save.

In addition to having the ability of locking down certain aspects of the forms the administrator also has the ability to select if the field is required and can set validation to only allow an certain type of data, such as an email address, date or phone number.

By providing the system administrators with the ability to validate data for the various form fields and make selected fields readonly, system integrity is ensured.
